During my residency training at Korea University Hospital, I encountered many cases involving trauma and reconstructive surgery patients, and I enjoyed performing those types of surgeries.
In the case of trauma patients, doctors had to select the optimal surgical method within a limited timeframe and dedicate themselves to overcoming even adverse clinical situations. Through this process, I learned patience. In
the case of reconstructive surgery patients, while there is a distinction between medically correctable and non-correctable aspects due to congenital deformities, I sometimes witnessed unexpected miracles of healing, particularly in young children.
I learned gentleness and humility while trying to understand the feelings of patients who felt self-conscious due to their appearances being different from others.
Having worked for a long time at a large hospital in Gangnam, I was able to experience many cases, but I felt that there was a lack of humane approach and consideration for patients, and that the standards of beauty demanded by the hospital were too uniform.
With the goal of "finding the hidden beauty of my patients," I opened my clinic in Apgujeong-dong, and thankfully, thanks to the support of my patients, the clinic has grown to where it is today.
